How to make strawberry wardrobe freshener or scented sachets from fabric scraps.

Once again it's time for the Pinterest challenge, hosted by My Pinterventures. I love joining this monthly challenge when a group of creative bloggers try something from their Pinterest boards, maybe mix it up a little bit and share how they got on.

This month I was inspired by this gorgeous strawberry pincushion pattern from Down Grapevine Lane

Aren't they cute? So sweet and really very easy to make. They make great little pincushions so you might just want to make them as they are. I mixed mine up a bit by adding some lavender to make strawberry wardrobe fresheners.

To make your own Strawberry Wardrobe Fresheners you will need:

Scraps of fabric
Fibre Fill
Dried Lavender or your choice of pot pourri
Green and white felt
Yellow seed beads
The pattern and tutorial from Down Grapevine Lane

I followed the tutorial from Down Grapevine Lane so I won't write it all here again.

When it came to stuffing the fabric strawberry, I added a little fiberfill at the bottom, then a layer of lavender. I topped it off with more fibre fill then carried on as per the instructions.

I added little yellow seed beads as the centre to my flowers.

These little lavender scented strawberries were a really quick make and they look so sweet. I'm really pleased with how they turned out. I think I maybe should have rounded the bottom a little more, my strawberries are a tad too pointed but other than that I love them.

They'd be a great easy make for those times when you just want a little gift for someone.
