Handmade Monday #270
Welcome to another Handmade Monday, this is a weekly craft and creative link up where craft bloggers can share their handmade projects and tutorials in the link up below and craft enthusiasts can find lots of new ideas and inspiration.
How has your week been? Mine seems to have just gone by in a flash.
With so much awful news on the TV every night it can been hard to think about anything else. I feel almost guilty having fun doing anything but I have been working on several new projects which I’ll have to share with you all over the next few weeks.
In my local area we are doing the Window Wanderland project again this year. Residents decorate their windows, register online and then people can plan a walk in the evening to see all the windows. Our local council have paid for the registration this year as my city (Coventry) is the UK city of culture this year and they had the funds to do it. The city has been divided up into smaller areas and it’s our week this week. I did one window with these stitched together paper hearts. I needed something quick and so just whizzed through some hearts I cut out of old colourful envelopes on the sewing machine and sellotaped them up. I have decorated the other window at the front in a different style but not had time to photograph it yet.
Now here are the features from last week’s Handmade Monday, just click through on the photos to see the original posts -
Please remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.
Fresh Vintage by Lisa S made a lovely and delicate piece of art, it’s so pretty.
Happier than a Pig in Mud has this lovely idea to decorate the Easter table. Lynn calls these flatware holders, I’d call then cutlery holders. Another one of those words were American and British English differs maybe? Super sweet whatever you call them!
Hello Sewing has a really thorough tutorial to make a rag quilt, with lots of helpful tips and hints.
Congratulations to you all. There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.
A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time.
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social
CAN I REMIND EVERYONE THAT HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here
