Handmade Monday #304

Welcome to Handmade Monday no 304. Handmade Monday is a link up for handmade crafts and recipes. Creative bloggers can share their tutorials and ideas and we can all be inspired.

I visited Luminate at Coombe Abbey Park which is local to us with my daughter and aunt this week. This is our second year and we enjoyed it so much even though the weather was a little bit damp! It’s a walking trail through the park that’s all lit up with various sparkly light displays. It’s hard to take nice well exposed photos with a phone but I did my best and there is even a little reel on Insta showing more if you are interested in seeing all the prettiness!

What I didn’t add to the gram was this selfie that shows the slightly cold and damp side to the evening!

Happy belated Thanksgiving to my US friends, I hope you were able to spend the day with family and friends and have a relaxing a time as possible. Thanksgiving is not a thing here in the UK but we do seem to have adopted Black Friday in recent years. Most shops do Black Friday deals that last for weeks and weeks though and are not always a great deal so I’m not sure that we are doing it right! I’ve seen a lot of counter campaigns around shopping small and being more sustainable with buying choices this year, it just feels very complicated for consumers these days. I’ve bought a few bits for Christmas gifts this year but I am planning to make some edible gifts this year; mince pies, cookies, maybe some fudge or truffles etc. You can tell I’m super organised and have it all carefully planned already, right?

Now let’s take a look at the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. Click through on the photos to see the original posts.

  • Please remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.

White House Crafts have made these beautiful paper wreaths, I love the ombre effect.

Gail from Purple Hues and Me has made these poinsettias from crushed velvet! Aren’t they lovely? They look so beautiful on this double embroidery hoop wreath.

Saved from Salvage has made the most beautiful concrete trees, they are so modern and classy.

Congratulations to you all There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.

A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time.

The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:

  • Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it

  • Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url

  • You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before

  • Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social

CAN I REMIND EVERYONE THAT HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS

If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here.

At Handmade Monday the links are shown in a random order so it’ll look different each time you pop by.
