Handmade Monday #311
Welcome to Handmade Monday 311. Handmade Monday is our link up for handmade ideas, crafts and recipes. Creative bloggers can share their tutorials and projects and we can all be inspired.
I have the results of last week’s very important survey about button storage and if you prefer to sort them according to size or colour or just keep them all jumbled in together in a tin or box.
I’d asked what you do here at Handmade Monday and also on my Instagram and I’ve compiled the results.
All in a magnificent jumble: 64%
Sorted by colour: 20%
A mix of both: 16%
I do realise that the wording of my survey may just have been a tiny bit biased but the results are clear and my choice of a jumbled mass of buttons in an old biscuit tin has been completely vindicated - happy days! Granted this was a pretty small sample size but I’m still happy to claim victory.
I want to reassure you though, that this is a button storage judgement free zone so you should always store your buttons however you prefer of course!
Ok, enough button storing nonsense, now let’s take a look at the features now from last week’s Handmade Monday . Click through on the photos to see the original posts.
Please remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.
Lisa from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S has wowed us once again by making the sweetest little Valentine’s from her empty needle packets. So creative!
Hello Sewing brings us a simple sewing project where you attach a cover to a blanket so it can sit on your sofa as a cushion or pillow until you need to whip your blanket out!
Penny from Penny’s Treasures has a simple but brilliant decorating idea, creating a nest by stacking wreaths! She’s made this super pretty nest centerpiece for Valentine decorating and filled it with hearts. I love the idea of finding new uses for things you already had, finding ways to repurpose one thing into another.
Congratulations to you all There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.
A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time.
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social
CAN I REMIND EVERYONE THAT HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here.
At Handmade Monday the links are shown in a random order so it’ll look different each time you pop by.
