Handmade Monday #394
/Welcome to another Handmade Monday a weekly creative link up. It’s a chance to be inspired by lots of lovely creative ideas so take a moment to have a scroll and see what you find.
I rediscovered this box of business cards when tidying up the other day, it contains 146 business cards that were my dad’s. He retired in 2003 and when he died in 2021 we found this box. I’ve used some for crafts - I’ve shared a couple of ways to upcycle old business cards in the past, these gift tags and these (one of my earliest ever posts!) where I used fabric to cover the old print and reuse them as new business cards - and I’ve kept some of these in the photo album just as a memory.
I just didn’t want to throw this remaining 146 away so on Wednesday I set about an art challenge which I’m sharing daily on my Instagram. The plan is to share one a day, use a variety of art techniques, only use art materials I already have and see how it goes. I’m notoriously bad at any sort of daily challenge, the last time I tried a 100 day challenge it took double that time! If I manage a share every day then I should finish on 3rd March next year which will be 4 years since dad passed away. If I do fall behind I will just aim to finish by mid July which would have been his birthday, either way I’m not going to stress myself over this. Art is my happy place so I don’t want that to change. Anyway, if you want to follow along they’ll all be on my Instagram where I’ll add details of materials used, basic technique etc.
Enough about me and my art challenge, now let’s just check out the features from last week’s Handmade Monday. There seems to be a bit of a pumpkin theme with these features! I don’t normally pick a theme but this week has just worked out that way :-)

Remember if you want to pin any of these ideas please make sure you click through via the photo to the original project.
Maya from The Little Treasures has a video tutorial to make these sweet little crochet pumpkins, they are SO easy to do!
Creatively Beth has made pumpkins from old tins, what great upcycling!
Joy from Joy’s Jots Shots and Whatnots made a beautiful pumpkin patchwork cushion cover as a gift, so cute!
Congratulations to you all. There is a "YAY I was featured" button over here if you want to add one to your blog.
A like on social media, a comment or share is an easy way for us all to help to support one another so please do take a moment to visit some of the other projects linked up this week. It’s not mandatory to be able to join in here, there’s no easy way to check if you did but it costs nothing but a few minutes of your time and is just a nice thing to do!
The rules for Handmade Monday are very simple:
Did you make it? Yes - then yay! We'd love to see it
Add the link to a specific post, not your main blog url
You can link up to 3 posts each week but try to make sure it's not something that you've shared here before
Mingle - visit some other links - comment - share - be social
HANDMADE MONDAY IS NOT A PLACE FOR SELLING SO NO LINKS TO ETSY OR OTHER SELLING PAGES, THEY WILL ALWAYS BE REMOVED. THANKS
If you are not sure of anything more details can be found here.
At Handmade Monday the links are shown in a random order so it’ll look different each time you pop by.
